Introduction
Embark on a dynamic Travel Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity anchored in the captivating coastal city of Santa Barbara, California. This role invites you to combine clinical excellence with a profound, measurable impact on patients across diverse ages and settings. As a skilled SLP, you’ll assess communication disorders, language development, articulation, stuttering, voice, and feeding/swallowing concerns, crafting individualized plans that empower children, teens, and adults to communicate with confidence. Your work will extend beyond therapeutic sessions, guiding families and caregivers, coordinating with school teams and medical professionals, and serving as a trusted advocate for meaningful communication. Set against Santa Barbara’s sun-kissed beaches, red-tile roofs, and vibrant cultural scene, you’ll have ample opportunity to recharge, reflect, and refine your craft between assignments across the U.S. If you’re seeking a role that blends clinical variety with personal growth, this is your moment to join a mission-driven organization dedicated to your development and well-being.

Location Benefits
Santa Barbara offers a unique blend of sunny days, pristine coastline, and a relaxed yet vibrant lifestyle. Enjoy walking the waterfront, exploring tide pools, or sipping coffee in sunlit courtyards as you transition between rewarding patient interactions. The region’s excellent schools, family-friendly neighborhoods, and abundant outdoor activities—hiking in the Santa Ynez foothills, sailing along the harbor, or biking along coastal paths—create an uplifting backdrop for your professional journey. For travelers who appreciate broader horizons, the assignment provides the possibility of working in various locations across the United States, expanding your professional network and exposing you to a spectrum of clinical settings. Our support team helps you navigate housing options, commute planning, and local orientation, ensuring you feel at home from day one. While Santa Barbara serves as your anchor, you’ll have the flexibility to explore other communities, broadening your exposure to diverse patient populations and care models. This combination of coastal enchantment and professional breadth makes this opportunity uniquely appealing for an SLP who values balance, growth, and quality of life.

Role Specifics and Benefits
As a Travel Speech-Language Pathologist, your core responsibilities will center on comprehensive assessments, evidence-based therapy, and collaborative care planning. You’ll conduct multidisciplinary evaluations to identify articulation, language, fluency, cognitive-communication, and feeding/swallowing needs; design targeted, functional treatment plans; implement therapy across preschool, school-age, and adult populations; monitor progress and adjust goals; and document outcomes with precision for continuity of care. You’ll utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, voice and resonance strategies, fluency shaping techniques, and oral-motor therapies as appropriate, tailoring interventions to each client’s strengths and challenges. Collaboration is essential: you’ll work with teachers, families, physicians, nutritionists, and other therapists to align goals, share best practices, and ensure seamless transitions across environments. Provider education and caregiver coaching will be central to sustainable gains, including home exercise programs, strategies for generalizing skills, and ongoing progress reports.

Beyond clinical duties, you’ll have opportunities for professional growth within the specialty. Benefit from ongoing supervision or mentorship, participate in continuing education initiatives, and leverage a structured pathway to advanced practice areas such as neonatal feeding, early intervention, or AAC optimization. The role’s competitive benefits include a bonus component, housing assistance to ease relocation, and the potential for contract extensions that recognize your value and contributions. You’ll enjoy the security of guaranteed hours at 30.0 per week, with consistently reliable scheduling to support work-life harmony. The package also features strong support infrastructure: 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, access to a dedicated clinical liaison, and an inclusive network of SLP peers to share resources, guidance, and best practices. We emphasize a client-centered, evidence-based approach, ensuring you remain at the forefront of pediatric and adult language, speech, voice, and swallowing care while you expand your professional horizons.
