As a Critical member of the respiratory care team, your role encompasses a comprehensive range of responsibilities that sharpen your expertise and advance patient outcomes. You’ll perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement and monitor respiratory therapies, manage ventilation and weaning protocols, and administer bronchodilators and other respiratory medications according to physician orders and evidence-based guidelines. You’ll interpret arterial blood gases, adjust therapy plans, and participate in rounds with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to optimize care. You’ll educate patients and families, provide infection control and safety training, and document care accurately to ensure seamless transitions across shifts and locations.
