- Key responsibilities: assist physicians during endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, and related GI interventions), set up sterile fields, prepare and drape patients, ensure proper functioning of endoscopy equipment, manage scope processing and reprocessing between cases, maintain accurate patient documentation, and promptly address equipment shortages or malfunctions. You’ll also support room turnover, inventory management, and adherence to all safety and infection-control protocols, contributing to smooth, efficient workflows in busy GI suites.
