Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Atlanta, GA
Contracted
Grady Memorial Hospital
Mid Level
Step into a dynamic Travel Registered Nurse role in Med Surg, delivering high‑quality patient care across demanding medical‑surgical units in the vibrant city of Atlanta, Georgia. This multi‑week contract starts February 2, 2026, offering you a clear opportunity to apply your clinical expertise, sharpen your leadership and clinical decision‑making, and make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. Envision yourself guiding care plans, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting families during pivotal moments of healing. Georgia’s southern warmth and metropolitan energy come together to create an environment where professional fulfillment meets personal growth. And beyond the hospital walls, you’ll have the chance to explore a state famed for its historic towns, lush landscapes, and abundant cultural attractions—from the moss‑draped oaks along Savannah’s squares to the thriving arts districts and outdoor adventures near Atlanta. Georgia isn’t just a place to work—it’s a destination to experience.

Working in Atlanta offers a compelling blend of professional rigor and urban vitality. You’ll join a community renowned for its top-tier health systems and a collaborative culture that values innovation, evidence‑based practice, and patient‑centered care. This role provides exposure to diverse patient populations, complex cases, and opportunities to expand your Med Surg repertoire through rotating assignments, specialty clinics, and dynamic shift patterns. You’ll benefit from a supportive network designed to help you thrive in a fast‑paced travel environment, with access to continuing education, skills refreshers, and mentorship from seasoned nurses and physicians. The location also opens doors to a broad spectrum of experiences—world‑class dining, music and cultural events, professional sports, and easy access to scenic getaways in the Blue Ridge Mountains or along Georgia’s Atlantic coast. If you’re drawn to both professional challenge and a location that celebrates life outside the hospital, this assignment is for you.

As a Med Surg Travel RN, you’ll carry the responsibility for safe, effective patient care across adult medical‑surgical units. Your days will include comprehensive assessments, timely administration of medications, monitoring of vitals and clinical changes, and rapid response in high‑acuity moments. You’ll perform wound care, IV therapy, and routine procedures with precision, while coordinating discharge planning and patient education to support independence after leave. Interfacing with physicians, case managers, and ancillary teams, you’ll help design and adjust care plans to achieve optimal outcomes, continuity of care, and patient satisfaction. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to unit education and cross‑training initiatives, share best practices, and model compassionate care in diverse clinical scenarios. The contract includes guaranteed 36 hours per week, with weekly pay in the range of $1,457 to $1,573, reflecting the dedication you bring to each shift. This multi‑week assignment is designed to support steady professional growth, with an emphasis on developing leadership skills, clinical decision making, and adaptability in a travel context.

Competitive benefits accompany your clinical responsibilities. In addition to dependable compensation, the program offers a sign‑on style bonus, robust housing assistance, and opportunities for contract extensions that align with your career goals. You’ll enjoy comprehensive travel support, including 24/7 assistance from our dedicated team while you’re on assignment, ensuring seamless housing, credentialing, onboarding, and day‑to‑day logistics. The environment is structured to help you maximize your clinical impact while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance, with access to counseling and wellness resources, and a network of peers who understand the travel RN lifestyle. You’ll also find generous practice supports such as orientation sessions, on‑site resources, and ongoing clinical mentorship designed to accelerate your confidence and independence in a new setting.

Our company values nurses as agents of change with the power to shape healthcare delivery. We’re committed to empowering staff through transparent career pathways, continuous education, and a collaborative, supportive culture. You’ll be encouraged to pursue specialty certifications, lead peer learning, and participate in professional development that translates into tangible growth—whether that means advancing within Med Surg, exploring perioperative or critical care cross‑training, or taking on mentoring roles for newer travelers. We foster a work environment where your voice is heard, your concerns are addressed promptly, and your contributions are recognized. Your experience, compassion, and expertise are the drivers of our shared mission: to deliver excellent patient care while helping you achieve the next milestone in your career.
