In this PCU RN role, you’ll deliver continuous monitoring and complex care for patients who require intermediate-to-advanced nursing support. Responsibilities include telemetry observation, IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, and coordinated planning with physicians, case managers, and families. You’ll perform comprehensive assessments, recognize subtle shifts in patient condition, respond to changes with swift, evidence-based action, and ensure safe transitions to lower- or higher-acuity units as appropriate. You’ll participate in daily rounds, collaborate across disciplines, and educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and what to expect on the road to recovery.
