Embark on a rewarding journey as a Travel Registered Nurse in Long-Term Care (LTC) in Plattsburgh, New York. This multifaceted role invites you to make a measurable difference in residents’ daily lives, lead compassionate care teams, and sharpen your clinical skills in a supportive, community‑oriented setting. Visualize the trust you’ll build with residents and families, the collaboration with physicians and therapists, and the professional growth that comes from navigating diverse LTC environments. Plattsburgh, nestled on the sunny shores of Lake Champlain and framed by the Adirondack Mountains, offers a blend of small‑town charm and outdoor wonder—from scenic hiking and boating to vibrant local culture. For nurses who love variety, this assignment can expand to LTC facilities across New York and beyond, providing exposure to different patient populations, facility cultures, and care models while still allowing you to call a beautiful upstate community home.

Location Benefits:
Plattsburgh’s year‑round beauty is matched by a welcoming community, affordable living, and access to outdoor recreation throughout the year. In this northern New York setting you can enjoy lake breezes in summer, brilliant foliage in fall, and crisp alpine air in winter. The region offers easy access to the Adirondacks for weekend hikes, fishing, or skiing, along with proximity to Montreal for a cultural weekend trip. If you choose to extend your journey to other locations, you’ll experience diverse health systems, patient mixes, and leadership styles across LTC facilities in New York and across the U.S., enriching your clinical repertoire and your resume. This role keeps you grounded in a stable, purpose‑driven mission while offering the excitement of travel nursing.

Role Specifics and Benefits:
As a Travel RN in LTC, you’ll deliver high‑quality, resident‑centered care in long‑term care settings. Core responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, development and revision of individualized care plans, medication administration and monitoring, wound care, IV therapy as scope allows, chronic disease management, fall prevention, and timely documentation in electronic health records. You’ll coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with residents and families, support discharge planning, and mentor nursing assistants and other staff to uphold best practices. This position prioritizes your professional growth: opportunities to expand your scope, lead quality improvement projects, participate in continuing education, and extend assignments to gain leadership experience in LTC management, geriatric care, and care coordination.

We offer competitive compensation, including a weekly pay range of $3,101 to $3,239, with a welcome bonus and ongoing incentive opportunities. Housing assistance is provided to ease transitions, and there are extension opportunities that let you deepen your impact with continued placements and potential career advancement within the company. You’ll benefit from comprehensive support, including a dedicated travel liaison, 24/7 assistance while you’re traveling with the company, and ready access to clinical and operational support to help you navigate any situation. This assignment is designed to be flexible and rewarding, aligning with your preferences for shift patterns, location interests, and professional goals.
