In this role, you’ll perform CT imaging with a focus on patient safety, dose optimization, and diagnostic accuracy. Typical responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients for CT procedures, selecting appropriate protocols, administering contrast agents when indicated, and maintaining high-quality imaging records. You’ll calibrate equipment, monitor evolving technology, and collaborate closely with radiologists and technologists to troubleshoot images and improve workflow. You’ll be empowered to apply multi-slice CT techniques, 3D reconstructions, and emerging post-processing tools to enhance diagnostic yield. You’ll also ensure strict adherence to radiation safety standards, infection control, and patient communication—guiding anxious patients with clear explanations, comfort, and reassurance.
