Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Med Surg RN, you’ll play a pivotal role in direct patient care, performing comprehensive assessments, monitoring vitals, managing IV therapies, wound care, pain control, and post-admission/transfer planning. You’ll collaborate with physicians, case management, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans, ensure patient safety, and support timely discharges. You’ll document precisely in electronic health records, advocate for evidence-based practices, and mentor newer staff or nursing assistants to strengthen unit standards. This position offers competitive weekly pay ranging from $2,088 to $2,210, with guaranteed 36 hours per week, reflecting the value you bring to the team. The contract starts on January 12, 2026, and is designed for several weeks with extension opportunities if you and the facility see continued fit, allowing you to deepen your med-surg competencies while maintaining work-life balance.
