- Key responsibilities: Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care; monitor labor progress and fetal status; assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections; administer medications and anesthesia adjuncts as directed; perform thorough patient assessments; support lactation, pain management, and mobility; participate in obstetric emergencies and rapid-response planning; educate patients and families on birth plans, postpartum care, and newborn care; ensure accurate documentation and effective coordination with physicians, midwives, neonatal teams, and nursing colleagues; participate in on-call rotations to ensure continuous coverage.
