Central Vermont Medical Center - Berlin, VT
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Radiology Special Procedures Tech in Berlin, Vermont, where your expertise will empower physicians to deliver life-changing interventional care. This is more than a job—it's a chance to shape outcomes for patients during procedures that demand precision, calm under pressure, and technical mastery. In the Green Mountain State, you’ll find not just a spotlight on your professional skills but also a lifestyle that blends outdoor adventure with a supportive, close-knit healthcare community. Picture yourself on crisp autumn mornings amidst foliage hues that feel like a living painting, or exploring tranquil waterways and quaint New England towns after a dedicated day of patient care. Vermont’s natural beauty is a constant invitation to recharge, while Berlin places you within reach of broader opportunities across the state and beyond. This role is designed to offer meaningful work with the potential to extend your impact across multiple care settings, helping you grow into a more versatile radiology professional while enjoying the charm and safety of a family-friendly community.
Location Benefits: Working in Berlin, Vermont, gives you access to a high-quality healthcare environment that values innovation, teamwork, and patient-centered care. You’ll be part of a region that emphasizes work–life balance, with shorter commutes, supportive colleagues, and a community-oriented approach to medicine. The location offers the best of both worlds: the opportunity to immerse yourself in Vermont’s renowned outdoor experiences—hiking the Long Trail, skiing at nearby resorts, or enjoying serene lakes—paired with the chance to rotate to other locations across the United States as needed. That flexibility broadens your clinical exposure, from urban teaching hospitals to quieter community facilities, enhancing your skills in complex procedures, patient preparation and recovery, and the latest imaging technologies. In Vermont, you’ll enjoy stable employment in a state known for strong healthcare networks, a progressive approach to patient care, and a commitment to professional development for radiology teams. The role also supports a seamless transition between assignments, with housing assistance and dependability that helps you settle in quickly while you pursue career growth.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Radiology Special Procedures Tech, you’ll be at the forefront of interventional workflows, collaborating with interventional radiologists and surgical teams during a range of procedures that rely on advanced imaging guidance. Your daily responsibilities will include preparing patients for procedures, setting up and operating fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety, and managing contrast administration under established protocols. You’ll assist with arterial and venous access, catheter guidance, catheter exchanges, and sterile field maintenance, while monitoring patient status and radiologic equipment performance. Your role emphasizes critical thinking, precise image acquisition, radiation safety, and rapid problem-solving when unexpected intra-procedural challenges arise. You’ll have opportunities for professional growth through hands-on procedural exposure, mentoring, and cross-training in related radiology services. The compensation package is competitive, with a weekly pay range of $2,555 to $2,702 reflecting the value of your specialized skill set. In addition, you’ll have access to a signing bonus and housing assistance to simplify relocation logistics and shorten the transition period. There are extension opportunities to continue your contract beyond the initial weeks, enabling ongoing development in a high-demand specialty. Comprehensive support is available 24/7 as you travel with the company, ensuring you never face a challenge alone and always have a responsive partner during complex cases. Flexibility is a cornerstone of this position, with a start date of 03/16/2026 and a multi-week assignment that adapts to patient care needs and facility requirements. This role is designed to foster mastery in interventional radiology procedures while expanding your professional network and clinical confidence across diverse practice environments.
