Pittsfield, MA
Contracted
Berkshire Medical Center - AYA
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg Tele in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, with a start date of 01/19/2026. In this role, you’ll bring clinical excellence to a diverse patient population, guiding adults through complex medical and post-surgical trajectories while overseeing telemetry, rapid assessments, and individualized care plans. You’ll collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support teams to optimize outcomes, coordinate discharges, and educate patients and families. This is your opportunity to deepen technical skills in telemetry interpretation, IV therapy, wound care, and risk assessment, while building leadership experience through mentoring new staff and contributing to unit performance improvement. Massachusetts’ welcoming communities, combined with a culture of innovation and compassionate care, provide a powerful backdrop for meaningful professional growth and personal discovery. Separately, you’ll have the chance to explore the state’s renowned beauty—from the Berkshire hills in autumn to the coastline around Cape Cod, and from historic towns framed by art and music to the vibrant urban centers nearby.
Pittsfield sits in the heart of the Berkshires, offering a high-quality pace, access to outdoor recreation, and a thriving arts scene. Here you’ll enjoy affordable living, reflective downtime after shifts, and the chance to connect with a supportive local community. For those who crave broader exploration, this assignment can serve as a gateway to other locations across the U.S., delivering exposure to different hospital settings, patient populations, and care protocols. You’ll benefit from a robust medical network, easy access to regional parks, hiking trails, and cultural venues, while maintaining a stable home base in Massachusetts. The experience blends the stability of a well-structured travel assignment with the freedom to experience new cities and regions as your contract evolves.
Your primary responsibilities include monitoring and caring for Med Surg Tele patients, conducting comprehensive assessments, formulating and revising care plans, administering medications with precision, managing telemetry data, and coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to prevent complications. You’ll implement evidence-based interventions, participate in patient education, discharge planning, and transitional care, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. The role is designed to support growth in clinical expertise and professional leadership, with opportunities to take on charge-nurse responsibilities, serve as a preceptor for new staff, and participate in specialty trainings. We offer a competitive weekly pay range of $2,093-$2,145, with a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and flexible extension opportunities to extend your time with the program if you and the facility agree. You’ll have access to comprehensive orientation and ongoing professional development, ensuring you stay current with best practices in medical-surgical and telemetry care. Our program prioritizes a supportive pathway that helps you progressively expand scope, confidence, and impact.
Throughout your assignment, you’ll be backed by a dedicated support team available 24/7, handling credentialing, onboarding, travel logistics, and any on-the-ground needs that arise while you’re traveling with the company. We’re committed to empowering our nurses by investing in career advancement, recognizing achievements, and fostering a collaborative, respectful work environment where your voice matters.
