Albuquerque, NM
Contracted
Las Palomas Ctr
Mid Level
Begin a meaningful journey as a Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to build trust with residents, guide families, and elevate daily life through skilled, compassionate care. In this role, you’ll become a steady source of comfort, promoting safety, independence, and dignity for elders and adults with chronic needs. The assignment starts on 02/01/2026, and each contract runs for several weeks, with extension options based on performance and agency needs. You’ll join a team that values your hands-on expertise and your voice in care planning. Exploring New Mexico’s sunsets, arts, and outdoor spaces can complement your professional journey—plus you’ll have a chance to experience environments across the U.S. as your assignments evolve.
Albuquerque blends southwestern charm with modern amenities, offering a welcoming base for nurses who value culture, sunshine, and outdoor recreation. You’ll benefit from convenient access to healthcare facilities that champion person-centered care, as well as robust support for travelers. When not on shift, you can explore nearby mountains, desert landscapes, and vibrant dining and arts scenes. And because travel assignments may place you in various locations across the country, you’ll gain exposure to diverse patient populations, different workflows, and new professional relationships that strengthen your clinical portfolio.
Your day-to-day duties include assessing residents, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating with physicians, therapists, and social work to craft individualized care plans. You’ll support activities of daily living, help manage chronic conditions, assist with wound care, and contribute to discharge planning and end-of-life comfort when appropriate. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and ethical practice, all while building rapport with residents who rely on your steady presence. This position offers competitive compensation, with weekly pay between $356 and $379, and a signing bonus to welcome you aboard. Housing assistance is provided to eligible travelers to ease relocation, along with potential extension opportunities should you wish to continue contributing to a facility after the initial weeks. You’ll receive comprehensive support from a dedicated travel team, including 24/7 assistance while you’re on assignment, ready to help with scheduling, housing, or on-site questions. Professional development is encouraged through continuing education credits and on-the-job mentorship, helping you grow within the long-term care specialty. The environment is collaborative and respectful, with an emphasis on empowering you to advance your career while maintaining work-life balance, even on the road.
Our company is grounded in empowering staff to reach their full potential. We nurture a supportive, inclusive culture that prioritizes safety, integrity, and compassionate care. We invest in ongoing training, transparent communication, and clear pathways for career advancement so that traveling nurses feel valued, heard, and equipped to lead initiatives in geriatric and long-term care settings.
