This is more than a placement; it’s a chance to apply evidence-based practice, innovate on treatment plans, and collaborate with a dynamic care team. Envision mornings sun-drenched by Southern California skies, afternoons spent exploring the scenic San Jacinto foothills, and evenings unwinding in desert-escape beauty within reach of Temecula wine country and the wider California landscape. California’s rich diversity, vibrant communities, and welcoming clinical networks create an ideal backdrop for growing as an OT while savoring the state’s natural wonders, from mountaintop trails to tranquil parks and nearby coastal breezes when you crave a change of scenery. This opportunity begins on 12/22/2025 and runs for several weeks, with guaranteed hours and a pathway to ongoing professional development in a supportive environment.
Location Benefits: Hemet sits in the heart of Riverside County, offering affordable living within a scenic, community-focused region. You’ll enjoy easy access to outdoor recreation, including hiking in the Santa Rosa Plateau and nearby foothills, fishing lakes, and family-friendly neighborhoods that make everyday life balanced and enjoyable. Beyond Hemet, the program provides the option to rotate to diverse locations across the United States, exposing you to varied clinical populations and care settings—from acute inpatient units to outpatient, skilled nursing, schools, and community-based programs. Work in a climate renowned for sunshine and year-round activity, with opportunities to explore California’s iconic landscapes—redrock vistas, desert parks, golf courses, and bountiful local markets—while advancing your practice and expanding your professional network. This flexibility supports personal growth, cultural experiences, and a broader lens on occupational therapy practice in different systems and communities.
Role Specifics and Benefits:
- In this travel OT role, you’ll conduct comprehensive evaluations, design client-centered intervention plans, and implement evidence-informed therapy to promote independence in daily activities, functional mobility, and safety with daily living tasks. You’ll monitor progress, adjust treatment strategies, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to align goals with discharge planning and family education. You’ll document clearly in electronic medical records, communicate recommendations to caregivers, and advocate for adaptive equipment and home modifications as needed.
- You’ll have opportunities for professional growth within the specialty, including exposure to pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, habilitation, or geriatric rehabilitation, depending on staffing needs and your interests. The assignment provides a platform to refine assessment techniques, develop specialized treatment protocols, and pursue continuing education experiences that align with your career goals, with potential for extended engagement if you wish to continue beyond the initial term.
- Competitive benefits include a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and the option to extend the contract for additional weeks or months based on performance and project needs. You’ll receive a robust compensation package with weekly pay in the range of $1,868 to $1,901, and guaranteed hours of 35 per week, providing reliability and financial planning while you travel and grow. The position supports you with comprehensive onboarding, access to clinical mentors, and evidenced-based resources to help you deliver high-quality care from day one.
- You will never be alone on the road: 24/7 support is available as you travel with the company. A dedicated clinical and operational team will assist with housing logistics, travel arrangements, licensing questions, and on-site orientation, ensuring you feel secure and prepared so you can focus on delivering excellent patient care and advancing your practice.
