Role Specifics and Benefits:
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments, implement and monitor ventilator management, perform weaning protocols, and adjust therapy to optimize gas exchange.
- Administer airway clearance techniques, inhaled medications, oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, and other noninvasive support as clinically indicated.
- Obtain and interpret arterial blood gases, monitor patient responses, titrate therapies, and document plans; participate actively in rounds and care conferences.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, participate in multidisciplinary care planning, and ensure safety and infection control best practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to implement evidence-based care and respond to respiratory emergencies with composure and leadership.
