Step into a pivotal role as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery in Clearlake, California, where your expertise guides mothers and newborns through one of life’s most transformative moments. In this field, every delivery carries the promise of new beginnings, and your compassionate leadership, precise clinical skills, and calm presence can shape radiant beginnings for families. Imagine joining a team that values your judgment, supports your professional growth, and promotes a culture of care that honors both patients and nurses. And when you crave a change of scenery, California’s extraordinary landscape invites refreshment between shifts—from tranquil lake views and pristine forests to sunlit coastlines—while our travel-focused assignments open doors to diverse communities across the United States, offering you unparalleled breadth in practice and life experience.
Clearlake offers more than a job; it offers a gateway to a community-centered lifestyle with abundant outdoor opportunities. You’ll enjoy access to scenic lakes, parks, and trails that invite weekend exploration, all while participating in a healthcare setting that prioritizes safety, teamwork, and quality outcomes. If you’re drawn to exploring beyond your primary assignment, you’ll have the chance to work in multiple locations across the U.S., gaining exposure to varied hospital cultures, patient populations, and clinical protocols. The program provides housing assistance to ease relocation and onboarding, so you can focus on delivering exceptional care from day one. And as you savor California’s famed natural beauty—lakefront sunsets, redwood groves, Sierra vistas, and wine country escapes—you’ll appreciate the balance our flexible travel model affords, enabling you to grow professionally while cultivating the life you want outside the hospital.
As an L&D RN on this assignment, your responsibilities will center on providing expert obstetric and neonatal care within a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. You’ll monitor labor progress, assist during vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, perform newborn assessments, administer medications, manage obstetric emergencies, and ensure safety through vigilant fetal monitoring and anesthesia coordination. You’ll support families with education on labor coping strategies, newborn feeding plans, and postnatal care, while coordinating with physicians, nurse anesthetists, and neonatal teams to align practice with the latest evidence-based guidelines. The position offers opportunities to expand competencies in continuous fetal monitoring, obstetric emergencies, lactation support, and patient education, with mentorship and structured learning experiences designed to accelerate your professional growth. The role supports a broad spectrum of practice enhancements, from documentation excellence to quality improvement initiatives, empowering you to take on leadership responsibilities as you progress in the specialty. Compensation reflects the scope of responsibilities, with weekly pay ranging from $2,509 to $2,695, and a bonus option available as part of the package. Housing assistance reduces relocation friction, helping you settle in quickly and start delivering care with confidence. While guaranteed hours are not provided (0.0), our scheduling teams work with you to align shifts with your preferences and the facility’s needs, and there are extension opportunities should you wish to remain with the same team beyond the initial period. A standout feature of the program is 24/7 support while traveling with the company, ensuring you have continuous access to expert guidance, credentialing support, and operational help whenever you need it.
The company’s values center on empowering its nursing staff, fostering clear pathways for career advancement, and maintaining a supportive work environment where collaboration and respect prevail. You’ll be part of a culture that recognizes clinical excellence and invests in ongoing education, leadership development, and peer mentorship. By prioritizing patient safety, professional growth, and a healthy work-life balance, the organization creates an atmosphere where nurses feel valued, heard, and equipped to excel in high-stakes specialties like labor and delivery. You’ll find resources, communities, and leadership that celebrate your expertise and help you navigate your career trajectory—whether you aim to specialize further, teach, or guide teams toward ever-higher standards of maternal-newborn care.
