In this CCU-focused role, you’ll steward critically ill cardiac and post-operative patients under high-acuity conditions. Core responsibilities include continuous hemodynamic monitoring, interpretation of arterial lines and invasive monitors, advanced telemetry, ventilator management, and coordination with cardiology and surgical teams to optimize patient trajectories. You’ll conduct comprehensive assessments, titrate vasoactive medications, manage rapid responses, and implement evidence-based protocols for heart failure, post-cardiac surgery, cardiogenic shock, and complex arrhythmias. The position supports professional growth through hands-on leadership opportunities, ongoing skill refinement, and exposure to cutting-edge CCU practices, including trending and documentation excellence in high-pressure environments. You’ll mentor junior staff, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and play a key role in family communication and patient advocacy.
