Geneva General Hospital (GGH)
Mid Level
Embark on a dynamic journey as a Travel Oncology Registered Nurse in New York—Geneva, a place where high-impact patient care meets the beauty of upstate New York. This is a unique opportunity to bring specialized oncology expertise to compassionate teams, helping patients navigate treatment with precision, empathy, and hope. Picture yourself delivering evidence-based care within a supportive network, where your clinical judgment and bedside presence make a meaningful difference for patients and families alike. Geneva, nestled in the Finger Lakes region, offers lakeside strolls, scenic trails, vibrant local culture, and a thriving community that blends professional rigor with outdoor inspiration and seasonal charm.

Location benefits: Geneva’s modern facilities provide access to diverse oncology programs, advanced treatment modalities, and collaborative multidisciplinary teams. You’ll engage with patients across a spectrum of cancers, participate in symptom management, survivorship planning, and compassionate end-of-treatment support. For those drawn to broader experiences, this role also offers the flexibility to practice in various U.S. locations through our travel framework, enriching your clinical repertoire across urban medical centers, community hospitals, and cancer specialty clinics. Expect reliable, structured assignments with weekly pay, comprehensive housing options, and the possibility to extend based on mutual fit and patient need.

Role specifics and benefits:
- Role responsibilities: As an Oncology RN traveler, you’ll assess patient status, administer chemotherapy and supportive care, monitor for toxicities, infection risk, and anemia, and implement evidence-based symptom management. You’ll collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, social workers, and nutritionists to craft individualized treatment and care plans. You’ll educate patients and families on treatment expectations, side-effect mitigation, and self-care strategies, while coordinating admissions, transfers, and discharge planning. Documentation in electronic medical records will be meticulous, and you’ll contribute to quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, pain control, and palliative care integration.
- Growth and development: This assignment is designed to deepen oncology expertise across solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, immunotherapy-related care, and supportive care strategies. You’ll have access to targeted continuing education, mentorship from senior oncology nurses, and opportunities to participate in specialty clinics or tumor boards, enabling you to broaden your scope and prepare for leadership roles in cancer care.
- Benefits and support: You’ll receive a competitive weekly pay range of $1,233–$1,288, with additional opportunities for a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and extension options to continue beyond the initial period if you thrive with the team and setting. We provide comprehensive travel support—from credentialing and onboarding to scheduling coordination—so you can focus on patient care. Importantly, you’ll have 24/7 dedicated support while traveling with the company, ensuring you have reliable assistance whenever and wherever you practice.
- Environment and safety: Our programs emphasize evidence-based practice, patient safety, and a culture of inclusion where every RN’s expertise is valued. You’ll work with accredited facilities that prioritize infection control, pain management, and patient-centered communication while maintaining balance between demanding clinical duties and personal well-being.
