Kodiak, AK
Contracted
Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center - Aya
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Registered Nurse in Long-Term Care, stationed in Kodiak, Alaska, with a start date of 01/12/2026. This assignment is more than a job—it is a meaningful opportunity to steward comfort, dignity, and high‑quality care for residents in a tight‑knit coastal community. Imagine the impact you can have as you apply your clinical expertise to enrich daily life, support families, and partner with a compassionate interdisciplinary team. While you care for others, you’ll also have the chance to absorb the beauty of Alaska’s landscapes, from the misty harbors and rugged shores to expansive skies and quiet fjords that turn hard days into moments of wonder. Assignments are structured in weekly blocks with flexible durations, designed to fit your goals and the needs of those you serve.

Kodiak offers a unique backdrop for nursing where your clinical judgment meets genuine community connection. You’ll work in an environment that values patient‑centered care, with access to robust local resources and the chance to explore Alaska’s outdoors during well‑earned downtime. The opportunity to work in multiple locations across the U.S. in future placements is part of our flexible model, giving you exposure to diverse populations and care settings while building your professional resilience.

As a LTC RN on this assignment, you will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, monitor outcomes, and respond quickly to changing needs. You’ll deliver wound care, device management, and restorative therapies, always prioritizing safety, fall prevention, and infection control. You’ll partner with physicians, therapists, social workers, and family members to coordinate a holistic, person‑centered approach. You’ll mentor and support nursing assistants, champion evidence‑based practices, and document meticulously to ensure continuity of care. The role also serves as a platform for growth—pursue specialty certifications, expand your leadership skills, and take on caregiver education responsibilities that deepen your professional impact. In addition, you’ll have opportunities to extend your contract and tailor the work‑life balance to your personal and professional goals.

We offer competitive compensation, including a weekly pay range of $2,437 to $2,487, with the understanding that posted rates are estimates and final packages will be confirmed during the hiring process. This assignment includes bonus opportunities, housing assistance, and potential extension options to align with your career trajectory. We know that success in LTC requires more than clinical acumen; it demands sustained support. That is why our team provides 24/7 assistance and dedicated travel support while you’re on assignment, along with a robust resource network to help you navigate any challenge. You’ll have access to a personal recruiter, a clinical liaison, and a dedicated operations team available around the clock to ensure you feel confident and connected wherever your assignment takes you.
