Travel MRI Tech Job

Pittsfield, MA
Contracted
Berkshire Medical Center
Mid Level
Embark on a rewarding journey as an MRI Tech with our national travel program, starting on 12/22/2025 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This is your opportunity to elevate your imaging expertise while delivering critical diagnostics that help clinicians guide care. You’ll work with a collaborative radiology team, apply advanced MRI protocols, and grow your proficiency across general, neuro, and musculoskeletal imaging. Beyond the scanner, you’ll experience the beauty and culture of Massachusetts—the rolling Berkshire hills, vibrant towns, seasonal foliage, and world-class dining and outdoor recreation—that make every assignment feel like a balanced life experience.

Pittsfield sits at the gateway of western Massachusetts, offering a welcoming community, excellent healthcare infrastructure, and a pace that suits focused, patient-centered radiology work. When you’re not in the control room, you can explore the serene landscapes of the Berkshires, enjoy outdoor activities from hiking to skiing, and indulge in the region’s arts scene and culinary delights. For those who crave variety, our program also provides opportunities to work in diverse locations across the U.S., exposing you to different facilities, patient populations, and imaging platforms. You’ll gain exposure to varied clinical protocols, expand your professional network, and bring back enhanced skills that elevate every future assignment. Whether you stay locally or venture further, you’ll benefit from structured support designed to maximize your efficiency and your patient impact.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for conducting high-quality MRI exams with a focus on safety, accuracy, and patient comfort. Key duties include patient preparation and positioning, selecting appropriate sequences, operating modern MRI systems, monitoring for artifacts, and ensuring image quality meets radiologist expectations. You’ll collaborate closely with technologists, nurses, and physicians to optimize protocols for neuro, MSK, and body imaging, while adhering to radiation safety and contrast administration guidelines. You’ll participate in routine quality control, troubleshoot equipment or software issues, and contribute to process improvements that shorten scan times and improve patient throughput. The position offers a clear pathway for professional growth: you’ll gain mastery across multiple MRI platforms, pursue specialty sequences, and expand leadership opportunities through teaching and peer mentoring. In addition to clinical development, we offer targeted training, continuing education stipends, and opportunities to take on extended assignments that broaden your experience and resume.

This opportunity comes with a comprehensive benefits package designed to attract and retain top imaging talent. You’ll earn a competitive weekly pay of 2,907 to 3,081, with potential bonuses for performance and tenure. Housing assistance is available to ease relocation, and extension opportunities frequently arise as facilities seek experienced MRI technologists to support ongoing patient care needs. While travel assignments allow you to see new places, you’ll also have robust support while you’re on the road: a dedicated travel coordinator, 24/7 on-call assistance, and access to clinical and administrative resources around the clock to ensure you never feel alone on assignment. Although guaranteed hours are not fixed, you’ll be scheduled to maximize both utilization and work-life balance, with clear communication about shift patterns, patient load, and on-site expectations.

Our company is built on a clear commitment to empowering staff. We value patient outcomes, clinical excellence, and a supportive, inclusive culture where your career can advance at a pace that matches your ambition. You’ll have access to ongoing education, mentorship from experienced radiology leaders, and opportunities to contribute to program development and best practices. The environment is collaborative and reflective, with a focus on wellness, professional growth, and a community that respects your expertise and your voice.

If you’re ready to apply your MRI expertise in meaningful, diverse settings, and you’re excited by the chance to grow while exploring new places, we want to hear from you. This role offers an exciting chance to join a company that values your contribution, supports your development, and stands beside you on every step of your travel journey. Start your next chapter with us and help shape the future of imaging care.
