Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job

Albuquerque, NM
Contracted
Rhb Ctr of Albuquerq
Mid Level
Step into a role that honors experience and elevates resident care as a Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is more than a job—it's a mission to sustain dignity, comfort, and independence for residents across the aging spectrum. Beginning January 25, 2026, for a multi-week assignment with the potential for extensions, you will bring skilled hands, sharp clinical judgment, and a compassionate bedside manner to a vibrant care team. You’ll coordinate care plans, monitor chronic conditions, administer medications, and support families as you help residents thrive each day. Beyond the hospital walls, New Mexico offers a wealth of beauty and wonder: the sunlit desert and pine-streaked mountains surrounding Albuquerque, the historic Old Town, the festive cultural tapestry, red and green chili aromas in the air, and easy access to natural wonders such as the Sandia foothills, Carlsbad Caverns, and White Sands. Let the landscape inspire your practice and renew your energy to serve with patience and purpose.

Working in Albuquerque offers a balanced blend of urban amenities and outdoor adventures. You’ll gain exposure to a diverse patient population, a robust healthcare community, and opportunities to rotate within trusted facilities across New Mexico or across the U.S., building your experience while enjoying a welcoming Southwest ambiance. The assignment's flexibility means you could have the option to experience different sites, facilities, and patient cohorts while maintaining focus on high quality care. This is your chance to broaden clinical horizons, collaborate with dynamic teams, and deliver person-centered care that respects each resident’s history and preferences.

Role specifics: Provide hands-on nursing care in long-term care settings—assist activities of daily living, manage medication administration, perform routine assessments, monitor chronic conditions, support wound care and preventive care, collaborate with physicians, social workers, and therapy teams, document accurately in electronic medical records, develop and update care plans, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. You’ll engage in falls prevention programs, mobility assistance, pain management, palliative care principles as appropriate, and family communication to ensure aligned goals and expectations. Professional growth: you’ll have opportunities to expand your clinical skills, pursue certifications in gerontology, wound care, or infusion therapy, and advance into lead or mentor roles as you demonstrate excellence in patient outcomes. Benefits include a competitive weekly pay range of $959-$1,015, a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and the potential for contract extensions based on performance and organizational needs. You’ll receive comprehensive support from a dedicated travel team, including 24/7 assistance while you travel with the company, ensuring you have resources and guidance wherever your assignments take you. Even though hours are not guaranteed, we tailor schedules to maximize patient care continuity while respecting your preferences and availability, with clear communication about any changes as you approach each site.

Our company is committed to empowering its staff, fostering a culture of learning, inclusion, and career development. We invest in ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership opportunities, and we provide a supportive environment where your voice shapes care delivery and team dynamics. You’ll join a network that values your expertise, your compassion, and your professional growth as essential to delivering exceptional long-term care.
