Embark on a meaningful journey as a Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care in Brattleboro, Vermont. This opportunity invites you to apply clinical expertise, compassion, and resilience to residents who rely on you for steady, respectful care as they navigate chronic conditions, daily living, and transitions in their care journeys. In this role you will play a pivotal part in enhancing comfort, safety, and quality of life, while collaborating with a dedicated team to implement patient-centered plans. Vermont is renowned for its natural beauty and genuine small-town charm—from Brattleboro’s arts-friendly streets to the shade of the Green Mountains and the tranquil countryside that invites outdoor exploration year-round. Picture mornings in a warm, supportive facility, and weekends spent exploring nearby trails, rivers, and small-town fairs that celebrate community and well-being. The state’s serene backdrop complements a dynamic professional path where your impact is visible in the smiles of residents, the trust of families, and the respect of colleagues.

Brattleboro offers a welcoming community, accessible amenities, and a pace that supports thoughtful, thorough patient care. You’ll work in a facility dedicated to evidence-based practices, safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to grow within Long-Term Care. For nurses who crave variety, there is also the option to be deployed to other locations across the U.S. as part of our traveling program. You’ll gain exposure to different facility types, electronic medical records systems, and interdisciplinary teams, all while maintaining a strong connection to your home base in Vermont. The program provides robust housing support and travel logistics so you can focus on delivering excellent patient care. Travel assignments offer dynamic experiences—mentoring new staff in dementia care, learning from experienced clinicians, and building a broad professional network that strengthens your resume and career trajectory.

As a licensed practical nurse on our Long-Term Care team, your primary responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assessing wounds, managing chronic conditions, and identifying early changes in residents’ status. You will participate in care planning, document care delivery in the electronic medical record, and communicate clearly with RNs, physicians, and families. You’ll support residents’ hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and comfort, while promoting safety protocols and fall prevention. The role offers clear pathways for professional growth—from mentors and preceptorships for new hires to specialized training in wound care, infection prevention, and palliative approaches. We offer competitive compensation with a weekly pay range of $1,748-$1,876, and a 36-hour guaranteed week, with the possibility of additional hours as determined by assignments and facility needs. A sign-on bonus is available, along with housing assistance and the opportunity for contract extensions that can lead to longer-term assignments or permanent roles. You’ll be supported by a comprehensive network, including 24/7 travel assistance and access to a dedicated travel coordinator and on-call clinical supervisors to resolve issues quickly and keep your shift(s) running smoothly.

Our organization is built on empowering our staff—through ongoing education, mentorship, and clear opportunities for career advancement. We foster a supportive work environment where nurses are heard, respected, and encouraged to expand their skills in geriatric care, dementia care, and care coordination. We value work-life balance, ethical practice, and open communication, ensuring you have the resources and encouragement to excel at every stage of your career. With a culture that prioritizes resident dignity and family trust, we back your professional development with structured orientation, performance feedback, and a commitment to your well-being as you travel and grow.
