Role specifics and benefits:
- Responsibilities: assess and monitor patients with respiratory insufficiency or failure; implement and adjust inhalation therapy, bronchodilators, and humidification; manage airway devices and ventilator settings; perform routine and emergent ABGs and oxygenation strategies; conduct weaning trials and collaborate on extubation decisions; administer chest physiotherapy, airway clearance techniques, and aerosol therapies; educate patients and families on therapy plans, discharge routines, and disease management; adhere to infection control protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
