Travel Registered Nurse LTC Job

Middletown, RI
Contracted
Grand Islander Center
Mid Level
Embark on a meaningful travel nursing journey as a Registered Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care in Middletown, Rhode Island. In this role, you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care to residents in diverse LTC settings, guiding care plans, monitoring conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to maximize comfort, safety, and quality of life. Your expertise will help residents maintain dignity, independence, and wellbeing while you develop leadership and clinical skills in a dynamic travel environment. Middletown places you in one of Rhode Island’s most inviting coastal communities, where historic neighborhoods meet scenic beaches, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming, close-knit atmosphere that makes every shift feel meaningful. Assignments begin March 2, 2026, for multiple-week engagements with the potential for extension. Beyond the immediate assignment, you’ll have the chance to discover the beauty of the state—Newport’s mansions, harbor views, cliff walks, nature reserves, and waterfront dining—while also exploring new places across the country as part of a broader travel program.

Middletown offers convenient access to the highlights of Southern Rhode Island: beaches, fishing, sailing, and charming seaside towns, while remaining within easy reach of Providence for cultural events and specialized care resources. Working here provides not only a robust clinical experience in long-term care, but also a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in an area known for its resiliency, community spirit, and appreciation for dedicated healthcare professionals. For those who crave variety, our travel program also includes assignments in other locations across the United States, enabling you to gain exposure to different facility models, resident needs, and regulatory environments. You’ll experience the advantages of a coast-forward lifestyle with the support to balance personal time and professional growth, including access to housing assistance, stipend options, and the chance to extend assignments if you choose to deepen your impact. The travel model is designed to be flexible, with assignments that align with your skills, preferences, and career goals, while still providing consistent, predictable weekly pay and guaranteed hours.

As a Travel Registered Nurse in LTC, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for residents with chronic conditions, functional limitations, and end-of-life considerations. You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, perform wound care, manage care plans, coordinate rehabilitation needs, and collaborate with physicians, social workers, and therapy teams to support comprehensive, patient-centered care. You will educate families, advocate for residents’ choices, and respond quickly to changes in condition, ensuring safety and adherence to regulatory standards. The role offers opportunities for professional growth within long-term care: expanding into leadership, mentor roles, quality improvement initiatives, and specialty trainings that deepen your proficiency in geriatrics, palliative care, and dementia care. Benefits are designed to support you in this demanding yet rewarding field, including a competitive weekly pay range of 1,526 to 1,663 dollars, a sign-on or completion bonus, and housing assistance to ease relocation and daily living costs. In addition, contract extension opportunities let you build continuity with facilities you enjoy and with patient populations you care about. You will be supported by a comprehensive team that provides 24/7 assistance as you travel, ensuring you’re never navigating challenges alone and that you have access to resources whenever you need them. Your schedule is built around 40 guaranteed hours per week, with the consistency you rely on while you explore different facilities and communities.
