- Role and responsibilities: As an ICU RN traveler, you’ll monitor and manage critically ill patients with complex cardiac, respiratory, and trauma needs. You’ll perform advanced ventilator management, hemodynamic assessments, vasoactive infusions, rapid response escalation, delirium prevention, and ARDS protocols. You’ll interpret lab data, optimize sedation plans, and implement evidence-based practices. Collaboration is essential—you’ll work closely with intensivists, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the broader care team to create and execute patient-centered care plans. Documentation must be precise, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards, ensuring continuity of care across shifts and units.
