Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job

Albuquerque, NM
Contracted
Las Palomas Ctr
Mid Level
Take on a meaningful journey as a Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care, stepping into a contract role in Albuquerque, New Mexico, beginning 12/15/2025 for a multi-week assignment. In this role you’ll partner with interdisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, person-centered care that supports residents’ dignity, independence, and quality of life. Your hands-on clinical skills, empathy, and attention to detail will help families find reassurance as we manage chronic conditions, rehabilitative goals, and daily living activities. Each day offers an opportunity to influence outcomes, celebrate small milestones, and mentor others as you model best practices in geriatric care. And when you’re not at the bedside you’ll be part of a broader network that travels together, learns together, and grows together. Your work will matter deeply to residents and families, and you’ll feel the pride that comes from making a tangible difference in people’s later years.

Beyond the desert light and city culture of Albuquerque, New Mexico beckons with the beauty of the Southwest. The area blends a warm, welcoming community with striking landscapes—from the rolling foothills of the Sandias to the historic charm of Old Town and the rich arts scene that colors every season. Expect sunny days, a moderate winter climate, and opportunities to hike, bike, or simply enjoy the outdoors after a rewarding shift. The state’s unique blend of native heritage, southwestern cuisine, and vibrant festivals offers enriching experiences outside work. For the journey-minded, our travel program also opens doors to diverse facilities across the U.S., allowing you to broaden your professional horizons while maintaining a stable, supportive employer network.

Your role will center on essential LTC nursing responsibilities designed to enhance residents’ comfort and independence. You’ll conduct comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications accurately, manage wound and skin care, monitor chronic conditions, and lead fall-prevention and safety initiatives. You’ll assist with activities of daily living, mobility support, and rehabilitative goals, documenting changes clearly and communicating them to the care team. You’ll collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and social workers to develop and implement person-centered care plans, advocate for residents’ preferences and safety, and participate in care conferences. This setting will refine your geriatric assessment, plan-of-care development, and interdisciplinary communication skills, while offering avenues for advanced certifications, specialty trainings, and leadership opportunities. From onboarding through ongoing education, you’ll have chances to grow your clinical expertise, contribute to quality improvement, and influence best practices in long-term care.

We offer competitive compensation designed to recognize your expertise, with weekly pay ranging from $1,501 to $1,566. Highlights include a welcome bonus, housing assistance to ease transition, and generous extension opportunities to continue your impact where you’re needed. You’ll enjoy comprehensive support from a dedicated travel team, including 24/7 assistance as you move between sites and adapt to different facility cultures. While guaranteed hours are not guaranteed (0.0), scheduling is planned to align with patient census, facility needs, and your availability, with clear communication and predictability whenever possible. You’ll also benefit from structured onboarding, access to clinical mentors, and ongoing resources to help you thrive in a travel LTC role.
