Embark on a dynamic and meaningful journey as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Burlington, Vermont. This opportunity within the Respiratory Therapy field offers you more than just a placement; it’s a chance to shape patient outcomes, mentor teammates, and elevate your clinical mastery in a setting renowned for teamwork and excellence. As you deliver essential respiratory care, you’ll be part of a compassionate community that values precision, empathy, and ongoing growth. Imagine the thrill of making a tangible difference each shift while savoring Vermont’s beauty—from the pristine shores of Lake Champlain to the vibrant fall foliage that blankets the Green Mountains. The role is designed for multi‑week assignments that begin on 04/06/2026, with a pathway to broaden your experience across diverse hospital environments. For those who crave both professional impact and the chance to explore new places, this is your invitation to thrive.
Located in Burlington and the broader Vermont landscape, this role offers compelling benefits that complement your clinical responsibilities. Vermont presents a high standard of patient care, a supportive healthcare community, and a quality‑of‑life that’s hard to match. In addition to the advantages of working in this beautiful region, there is the flexibility to participate in assignments across various locations in the United States. You’ll gain exposure to different hospital types—academic centers, community hospitals, and regional facilities—each with unique patient populations, protocols, and opportunities to expand your critical thinking and procedural repertoire. When you’re not delivering vital care, you’ll have access to the state’s outdoor recreation options, renowned dining, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel valued both professionally and personally. To support your smooth transition, housing assistance is part of the package, easing relocation concerns and helping you focus on patient care and professional development.
In this role, you’ll champion core Respiratory Therapy responsibilities while pursuing ongoing career advancement. You will assess patients’ respiratory status, interpret considerations from arterial blood gases, and adjust ventilator settings and management plans under physician supervision. You’ll implement airway clearance techniques, administer inhaled medications, provide therapies such as oxygen, humidification, and noninvasive ventilation, and monitor therapeutic responses. Your day includes collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the care team to optimize pathways for weaning and stabilization, documenting outcomes, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. You’ll participate in rounds, contribute to care strategies, and advocate for evidence‑based approaches to improve patient recovery. The opportunity to grow within the specialty can include pursuing advanced certifications, cross‑training in neonatal/pediatric or ICU settings, and taking on mentorship roles to support newer staff. Beyond patient care, you’ll be empowered to participate in quality improvement initiatives, equipment optimization, and protocol development to enhance efficiency and outcomes hospital‑wide.
Our commitment to you goes beyond clinical duties. The compensation package is competitive and designed to reflect the value you bring to the team. You’ll receive a weekly pay range of $2,428 to $2,640, reflecting the high demand for respiratory expertise and the complexity of the cases you’ll encounter. The program also includes potential bonuses, housing assistance, and extension opportunities that allow you to tailor your assignments to your personal and professional goals. An important part of our approach is providing comprehensive support; you’ll have access to 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, ensuring you’re never navigating a challenging situation alone. This dedicated support network helps you manage logistics, navigate clinical questions, and maintain balance between work and well‑being as you move between assignments. While the stated pay rates and guaranteed hours are important, please note that hours and pay can vary, and final compensation packages will be confirmed during the hiring process, along with any guaranteed hours applicable to your specific assignment.
At the heart of our program is a firm belief in empowering our staff. We’re committed to your career development, recognizing that your growth elevates the entire team and improves patient care. We celebrate a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive work environment where your clinical judgment is respected and your ideas for improvement are welcomed. You’ll find mentors, opportunities for advanced training, and a pathway to increasingly influential roles within the respiratory care continuum. The organization partners with you to align your talents with meaningful assignments, providing stability, ongoing education pathways, and a culture that values your contributions every day.
