Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Travel Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include comprehensive assessments of upper-extremity function, cognition, sensory processing, and activity demands; formulation of individualized treatment plans aimed at improving ADLs, IADLs, play and leisure engagement, and caregiver training; and execution of evidence-informed interventions in collaboration with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and social work teams. You’ll adapt environments and tools—positioning, assistive devices, task simplification, and modifications to homes, schools, and workplaces—to maximize independence and safety. Documentation and outcome measurement will be integral, with a focus on measurable progress, discharge planning, and data-driven adjustments to care plans.
