Role specifics and benefits: In this perioperative nursing role, you’ll contribute to all phases of the surgical continuum. Core responsibilities include pre-operative assessment and preparation, aseptic technique and instrument handling, patient positioning, monitoring and interpreting intraoperative vitals, assisting the surgical team with cannulation and device placement, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring meticulous counts and documentation. You’ll support anesthesia providers, manage patient safety through proactive risk identification, and facilitate efficient turnover between procedures to keep operating rooms running smoothly.
