Role specifics and benefits:
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of speech, language, voice, fluency, resonance, and swallowing disorders across pediatric and, where appropriate, adult caseloads.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized, evidence-based treatment plans designed to optimize communication and safe swallowing, with measurable goals aligned to patient-centered outcomes.
- Deliver direct therapy sessions, adapt strategies to cognitive and linguistic diversity, and integrate augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) technologies as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, SLP assistants, educators, and families to coordinate care, share progress, and refine intervention plans through interdisciplinary rounds and team meetings.
- Document assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries with accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, supervise assistants when applicable, and contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
