Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center
Mid Level
Step into a pivotal role as a Surgical Tech in Marietta, Georgia, where your precise hands and steady focus help surgeons deliver life-changing care in the OR. In this specialty you’ll support every phase of the procedure—from preparing sterile instruments and setting up the field to passing tools with perfect timing and ensuring patient safety throughout the case. You’ll work alongside skilled surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia teams, turning complex operations into coordinated, efficient sessions. This assignment begins January 12, 2026 and spans multiple weeks, with potential extensions that let you deepen your expertise, build lasting professional relationships, and contribute to outcomes that matter.
Georgia is more than its hospitals and highways; it’s a tapestry of natural beauty and vibrant communities. From the misty blue ridges in the north to the pine-studded shores of the coast, through the historic streets of Savannah and the dynamic energy of Atlanta, the state offers opportunities for exploration and renewal during your downtime. In Marietta and the surrounding metro area you’ll find top-tier dining, parks, arts, and family-friendly neighborhoods that make a long assignment feel rewarding rather than routine.
Marietta is a thriving, family-friendly locale with strong access to leading medical networks, educational institutions, and a rich calendar of local events. The location blends small-town warmth with easy access to Atlanta’s world-class resources, allowing you to enjoy a robust clinical environment while benefiting from a reasonable cost of living, reliable amenities, and a supportive community. For the right professional, there are opportunities to work in many locations across the United States, broadening your experience and exposure to diverse case mixes. This arrangement offers the best of both worlds: the immediacy and intimacy of a strong local team, combined with the breadth of experiences that come from traveling across facilities and regions.
Your daily duties will include maintaining the sterile field, preparing instruments and implants, assisting the surgeon and scrub nurse, counting sponges and instruments, handling specimens, and helping manage patient safety, positioning, and anesthesia support as needed. You’ll have access to ongoing training and hands-on mentorship, with pathways for advancement within the surgical services team. We offer a competitive weekly pay rate of $1,264 to $1,291, plus a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and opportunities to extend your contract for additional weeks or months. Our program is designed to support you as a travel clinician while you maintain continuity of care in a variety of surgical settings. You’ll also receive 24/7 support from a dedicated travel concierge and clinical support team, ensuring you have help when you need it, wherever you are. Additionally, you’ll benefit from comprehensive orientation, access to continuing education resources, and the chance to rotate across departments to broaden your expertise.
