Step into a leadership role that sits at the heart of patient care: Registered Nurse, House Supervisor. This is your chance to guide clinical excellence on a dynamic, fast-paced unit, shaping outcomes for patients when every moment matters. Based in the vibrant environments of New York and Newark, you’ll influence care delivery from the front lines, coordinating team activity across shifts and ensuring that every patient receives safe, efficient, and compassionate service. Picture yourself steering complex care plans, mentoring frontline nurses, and bridging communication between bedside staff and physicians—while enjoying the beauty and culture of a state renowned for its iconic skyline, riverfronts, and diverse neighborhoods. From the splendor of the Hudson River views to the historic streets of Newark and beyond, you’ll work in settings that reward dedication with both professional growth and a quality-of-life experience that reflects the places you serve.

This opportunity places you in locations that combine unparalleled clinical exposure with the prospect of exploring remarkable places across the U.S. You’ll have the option to contribute in the New York metropolitan area or Newark, with assignments designed to harness the strengths of notable teaching hospitals, community medical centers, and high-acuity units. The role also offers the possibility of working in additional locations across the country, broadening your professional horizons while you expand your skill set. You’ll benefit from a supportive network that understands the realities of travel nursing—24/7 company-backed assistance, seamless transition between facilities, and access to a network of peers who share your commitment to leadership in nursing. The travel experience is crafted to be enriching both professionally and personally, with opportunities to connect with colleagues who value ingenuity, resilience, and patient-centered practice.

As a House Supervisor, you’ll own the responsibilities of ensuring safe, high-quality patient care across the unit during your shift. Your day will include leading patient flow and bed management, coordinating staffing to meet acuity and census needs, and guaranteeing adherence to evidence-based clinical practices and hospital policies. You’ll supervise and mentor on-shift registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and support staff, ensuring clarity of roles, timely escalation of clinical concerns, and the continual advancement of clinical competencies. You’ll conduct rounds to monitor patient status, promote rapid response to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary teams to optimize throughput and discharge planning. You’ll oversee infection control protocols, medication administration accuracy, documentation integrity, and quality improvement initiatives—driving metrics that reflect safer, more efficient care. This is a leadership role that balances decisive oversight with hands-on engagement, offering a platform for professional growth as you refine staffing strategies, develop crisis management acumen, and advance your expertise in complex patient populations. The assignment includes a strong emphasis on developing the broader leadership skill set essential to career progression, from operational governance to clinical education for new nurses and seasoned team members alike.

Compensation is competitive and designed to recognize your expertise and the value you bring to every shift. Weekly pay ranges from $2,424 to $2,493, reflecting the responsibilities of supervising high-acuity units and driving unit performance. The assignment typically spans weeks, with contract lengths that can be extended based on unit needs and your preferences. In addition to robust pay, you’ll have access to a comprehensive package that may include a sign-on incentive, housing assistance or stipends, and extension opportunities should you wish to continue your leadership journey with us. You’ll also benefit from the company’s 24/7 support infrastructure, including dedicated travel coordinators, on-call clinical leads, and a nationwide network of colleagues who can provide real-time guidance and problem-solving assistance, ensuring you feel supported wherever you serve. The emphasis on housing assistance and flexible extension options demonstrates our commitment to reducing barriers to your travel nursing leadership role, so you can focus on clinical excellence and staff development.

Behind the scenes, our company honors and empowers its nursing professionals by fostering an environment that values growth, autonomy, and collaboration. We’re committed to your development as a leader—providing access to continuing education resources, leadership mentorship, and structured pathways to expand responsibilities within hospital operations, quality and safety programs, and staff development initiatives.
