Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Concord, NH
Contracted
Concord Hospital - HWL
Mid Level
Step into a vital role as a Registered Nurse on Med Surg, where every patient story matters and your clinical expertise translates into safer, more compassionate care. In Concord, New Hampshire, you’ll join a community that blends small-town warmth with professional excellence, providing a stage to apply your Med Surg expertise while growing as a clinician and mentor. Imagine daytime rounds that energize your decision making, followed by evenings spent enjoying the state’s natural beauty—from the White Mountains’ crisp trails to the tranquil shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. This is more than a contract; it’s an opportunity to influence patient outcomes while discovering a state renowned for its fall foliage, maple-syrup mornings, and vibrant cultural life. On this assignment, you’ll have the chance to make meaningful connections with patients and families as they navigate recovery, while you stay grounded in evidence-based practice and compassionate communication.

Based in Concord, you’ll experience the advantages of a dynamic healthcare hub with access to top-tier facilities, robust support networks, and a community that values clinical autonomy and teamwork. You may also have the opportunity to work at other facilities across New Hampshire or across the United States, expanding your clinical horizons and diversifying your skill set. Travel healthcare here blends stability with adventure, offering reliable weekly compensation while you explore new settings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and build a robust professional network. The role gives you exposure to diverse patient mixes and acuity levels that sharpen your assessment skills and broaden your clinical repertoire, all while enjoying the charm and accessibility of a city that blends history with modern healthcare excellence.

Role specifics are centered on patient-centered Med Surg care for adults, including medical, surgical, and post-operative units. You’ll monitor and respond to vital signs, manage IV therapies, administer medications safely, implement and adjust individualized care plans, and coordinate with physicians, case managers, and families to ensure smooth transitions from admission through discharge. You’ll participate in patient and family education, reinforce safety protocols, and engage in discharge planning that supports recovery at home. There’s ample opportunity for professional growth within your specialty: you can pursue targeted skill development in areas such as wound care, pain management optimization, infection control, and early mobility, while also exploring leadership pathways, mentorship roles, and evidence-based practice improvements. The position includes a competitive benefits package designed for travel professionals: weekly pay ranges from 2,144 to 2,310, with guaranteed 36 hours per week, and options for sign-on bonuses or completion bonuses. Housing assistance or stipends help you settle into each new location, making travel seamless rather than disruptive. We also offer extension opportunities to continue your journey with us beyond the initial assignment, enabling you to deepen your impact and advance your career without starting over each time. Our comprehensive support network delivers 24/7 assistance for travelers, ensuring you have real-time guidance, credentialing help, and clinical resources wherever your assignment takes you. In addition, you’ll have access to ongoing clinical education, optional specialty certifications, and a mentorship program crafted to accelerate your growth and confidence on the Med Surg floor.

Our company is grounded in empowering its staff: we champion career advancement, invest in ongoing education, recognize achievements, and cultivate a supportive, inclusive culture where nurses lead with confidence and collaborate with peers. You’ll be paired with a dedicated nurse liaison and a clinical mentor who will tailor a development plan to your preferences, help you identify leadership opportunities, and navigate the logistics of travel so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care. The environment here is one of mutual respect, continuous learning, and shared purpose—where your expertise is valued, your wellbeing matters, and your professional aspirations are encouraged.
