- Responsibilities and growth: In this cath lab nursing role, you’ll perform or support core cath lab activities under established protocols, including patient assessment and monitoring, assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures, preparing equipment, maintaining sterile technique, tracking hemodynamics, and providing vigilant post-procedure care. You’ll partner with physicians, technologists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and pursue professional development opportunities such as specialty certifications, continuing education, and mentorship programs designed to elevate your expertise in interventional cardiology.
