Atlanta, GA
Contracted
Grady Memorial Hospital
Mid Level
Answer the call to make a lasting impact as a Registered Nurse in Med Surg, with a dynamic travel assignment based in Atlanta, Georgia. You’ll be part of a patient-centered team delivering skilled, compassionate care across a busy Med/Surg floor, helping patients recover, regain independence, and return home with confidence. This role blends clinical challenge with meaningful relationships, offering opportunities to sharpen assessment, critical thinking, and coordination of care in fast-paced settings. Georgia offers more than a place to work — it’s a gateway to vibrant experiences, from historic coastal towns to mountain escapes and a thriving city life. Whether you’re strolling through Savannah’s moss-draped squares, savoring Atlanta’s diverse cuisine, or hiking the Blue Ridge, you’ll find inspiration beyond the hospital walls.

Working in Atlanta positions you in a major healthcare hub with access to leading hospitals, resources, and a connected network of specialists. The city balances a rich cultural scene with affordable neighborhoods, parks, and easy access to weekend getaways. If you crave variety, our travel program also provides assignments at facilities across the U.S., expanding your professional perspective while maintaining the security of guaranteed hours. You’ll experience the benefits of a robust support system, modern facilities, and the chance to collaborate with clinicians who share your commitment to excellence.

Role specifics and benefits: As a Med Surg RN, you’ll perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor and titrate therapies, administer medications safely, manage wound care, IV therapies, and respiratory support as needed. You’ll coordinate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and families to develop and implement individualized plans of care, educate patients on post-discharge needs, and help reduce readmissions through proactive discharge planning. The position promotes professional growth within the Med/Surg discipline, enabling you to deepen expertise in acute care, complex chronic conditions, and post-operative recovery. Benefits include a competitive compensation package with a weekly pay rate in the range of $1,524 to $1,594, and a sign-on bonus where applicable. We also provide housing assistance to ease transitions, and the chance to extend assignments if you enjoy the team and the facility. You’ll join a collaborative, supportive environment that emphasizes teamwork, evidence-based practice, and patient safety. Our program offers 24/7 support as you travel with the company, so help is always a call away, whether you’re on shift, in transit, or settling into a new facility. You’ll receive ongoing clinical and operational resources, access to continuing education, and robust onboarding to ensure you can hit the floor ready. Start date is 01/20/2026, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week, ensuring stability even as you experience variety across assignments.

Georgia’s location benefits go beyond the hospital walls. Atlanta’s dynamic neighborhoods offer diverse dining, music, sports, and opportunities to volunteer, learn, and grow within a thriving healthcare ecosystem. For the traveler who loves discovery, the program opens doors to facilities nationwide, delivering exposure to different patient populations, electronic health record systems, and care models — all while maintaining a consistent, reliable schedule. The guaranteed hours help you plan your weeks with confidence, and the weekly cadence of pay supports personal budgeting as you book new locations, glean best practices, and build a resilient, adaptable nursing portfolio.

Company values emphasize empowerment and advancement. The organization is dedicated to nurturing talent from within, offering mentorship, leadership development, and clear pathways to higher responsibility. Nurses are encouraged to broaden competencies, pursue specialized certifications, and take on roles within clinical education or clinical leadership as they progress. A supportive work environment means access to colleagues who collaborate openly, managers who listen, and resources that prioritize your professional well-being as much as patient care.

If you’re ready to apply, seize this exciting chance to join a team that values your expertise and dedicates resources to your professional development. This travel RN role blends the best of clinical challenge, location richness, and long-term growth. Please note: the hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary.
