As an L&D RN, you’ll carry key responsibilities that anchor safe, family-centered care. You’ll monitor labor progress, conduct comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments, and implement evidence-based interventions in labor, delivery, and postpartum care. You’ll support and participate in vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, assist with newborn stabilization, and provide lactation support and breastfeeding education to families. Documentation in electronic health records, medication administration within policy and protocol, and active collaboration with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and ancillary teams will be part of your daily routine.
