North Adams Regional Hospital
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room in North Adams, Massachusetts. This is your invitation to apply surgical expertise with a team that values precision, compassion, and the difference you bring to every patient experience. In the heart of the Berkshires, you’ll merge highly skilled practice with the beauty and culture of a region famed for its outdoor adventures, vibrant arts scene, and welcoming communities. Picture yourself contributing to complex cases in a setting where every jornada you complete becomes part of a broader story of healing, growth, and service. Massachusetts offers not only a renowned healthcare landscape but also the chance to explore scenic towns, tranquil winter landscapes, and world-class museums like MASS MoCA and the Clark, all while building your career in a thriving OR environment. The beauty of this state—from rolling hills to historic towns and crisp autumns—is the backdrop to your daily impact.

Location benefits extend beyond the OR. North Adams sits in the western foothills of the Berkshires, a community that combines rich cultural offerings with outdoor recreation. You’ll enjoy access to hiking trails, picturesque riverfronts, and charming downtowns, along with easy travel to other regional hubs for weekend adventures. For those seeking broader experiences, the role also opens pathways to placements across the United States, offering you the opportunity to diversify your clinical exposure, expand your professional network, and return with a wealth of knowledge to bring back to your OR practice. Whether you’re drawn to more urban settings or quieter rural environments, this travel opportunity is designed to broaden your horizons while keeping you close to life’s meaningful moments.

As an OR nurse on travel assignment, you’ll hold a central role in patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Your responsibilities span preoperative assessments, sterile technique and instrument handling, facilitating safe and efficient intraoperative workflows, and coordinating with anesthesia teams and surgeons to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You’ll monitor patient status, manage intraoperative inventories, document critical events, and contribute to post-anesthesia care, all while maintaining an uncompromising standard of safety and quality. The role offers ongoing professional growth within the OR specialty, including exposure to diverse surgical cases, new technologies, and evolving best practices. You’ll have the chance to refine your leadership, communication, and critical thinking in fast-paced environments, with opportunities to cross-train and expand scope as you progress in your travel career.

This position delivers competitive compensation in the weekly pay range of $2,638 to $2,727, reflecting your expertise and the high level of responsibility in the OR. In addition to robust pay, you’ll receive housing assistance to ease relocation and lodging logistics, making it easier to settle into a comfortable, convenient living arrangement near your assignment. The program also supports contract extensions, enabling you to deepen your experience with proven teams and trusted facilities. A commitment to comprehensive support means you’ll have 24/7 assistance from a dedicated traveling team—ready to troubleshoot, answer questions, and provide guidance whenever you need it, so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

Our company values you as more than a traveler—you’re a professional with a unique pathway to impact. We’re dedicated to empowering staff through ongoing career development, mentorship, and a culture that prioritizes well-being and professional advancement. You’ll join a community that recognizes your contributions, fosters collaboration across disciplines, and supports you as you chart a course toward leadership roles within the OR or broader cardiac, trauma, or specialty services. The emphasis is on a supportive work environment, transparent communication, and opportunities to broaden your scope while maintaining the high standards that define excellence in perioperative nursing.

If you’re ready to leverage your OR expertise in a role that combines meaningful clinical impact with personal and professional growth, apply now. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to join a company that values your skill, respects your autonomy, and invests in your future. Experience a travel nursing opportunity that respects your time, your talents, and your ambition while you explore new corners of Massachusetts and beyond.
