- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to diverse patient populations, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of respiratory status.
- Manage and optimize ventilator support, wean protocols, inhaled therapies, humidity therapy, and airway clearance techniques such as chest physiotherapy and postural drainage.
- Administer prescribed therapies (nebulized medications, bronchodilators, mucolytics), administer CPAP/BiPAP when indicated, and assist in advanced modalities per physician orders.
- Interpret arterial blood gases, monitor trends, adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, device use, medication administration, and discharge planning, promoting adherence and self-management.
