- Role responsibilities: Administer and monitor sedation and anesthesia-related aspects under physician direction; prepare, position, and care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP where applicable); assist gastroenterologists with scope advancement, biopsies, and therapeutic interventions; ensure sterile technique, patient safety, and accurate documentation; manage pre- and post-procedure assessments, vital signs, and recovery observations; perform equipment checks, cleaning, and safe handling of endoscopy suites; coordinate with nursing and support staff to maintain efficient procedure flow and turnover.
