- Role responsibilities: Prepare the sterile field and instrument trays; anticipate instrument and sponge needs during procedures; assist surgeons and circulating nurses; maintain patient safety, infection control, and accurate counts; support specimen handling and documentation; manage instrument turnover and case cart organization; participate in room turnover and equipment checks; uphold compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards; contribute to ongoing quality improvement through attention to detail and teamwork.
