Take a bold step forward in your Physical Therapy Assistant career with our dynamic travel opportunity in New Jersey and beyond, where your hands-on care helps patients regain mobility, confidence, and independence. As a Physical Therapy Assistant specializing in rehabilitative care, you will collaborate with licensed PTs to implement individualized treatment plans that restore function, decrease pain, and improve quality of life. You’ll guide patients through therapeutic exercises, balance and gait training, functional retraining, and progressive activities that translate into real-world successes. Imagine the impact you can make in the Garden State—supporting diverse communities, celebrating small victories, and witnessing patients rediscover theirs. And as you embark on your journey, you’ll also get to experience the beauty and variety of New Jersey’s landscapes—from the tranquil pine forests and scenic parks to historic towns and coastal escapes—each offering a unique backdrop for your professional and personal growth.
Piscataway, New Jersey, positions you in a thriving, patient-centered environment with easy access to the region’s rich mix of culture, education, and industry. Living and working in this area means proximity to Rutgers University’s academic energy, robust medical networks, and a broad spectrum of clinical settings that challenge and refine your clinical judgment. The Garden State’s close-knit communities provide meaningful patient encounters, from outpatient clinics to inpatient rehab units, allowing you to develop a versatile portfolio of experiences. And for those who crave exploration, the opportunity to work in various locations across the U.S. broadens your horizons, offering exposure to new populations, facilities, and treatment approaches while you maintain a home base in the Piscataway area. You’ll discover that the region’s blend of urban accessibility and suburban comfort supports both professional ambition and well-rounded living.
As a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant, you’ll carry important responsibilities that drive positive outcomes for patients and contribute to a collaborative care team. Your duties include assisting PTs with the execution of tailored rehabilitation programs, administering therapeutic interventions, monitoring patient progress, documenting outcomes, and communicating changes to the supervising clinician. You’ll help patients perform therapeutic activities, guide safe equipment use, and provide education on home exercise programs to reinforce gains between sessions. You’ll be exposed to a range of clinical concerns—from post-surgical rehab to chronic condition management—fostering ongoing professional growth in the specialty. The role offers a clear path to expand your expertise in areas such as orthopedics, neuro rehab, geriatrics, pediatrics, or sports medicine, with opportunities for additional certifications and specialized training. The position also emphasizes a culture of accountability, compliance, and patient-centered care, ensuring you have a strong foundation for long-term advancement within the specialty.
Our package is designed to recognize the value you bring. You’ll enjoy competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,516 to $1,652, with guaranteed hours of 35 per week, providing financial predictability as you plan travel, lodging, and activities. In addition, a sign-on bonus is available along with housing assistance to ease the transition between assignments. The arrangement includes the potential for contract extensions, giving you the chance to deepen your impact and expand your resume within the same clinical community or across new sites. We prioritize comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance while you’re traveling with the company, so you always have a trusted partner for clinical questions, scheduling, and travel logistics. This level of backing ensures you can focus on delivering excellent patient care with confidence and peace of mind.
Our company is built on empowering staff to reach new heights in their careers while maintaining a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment. You’ll join a team that respects your expertise, listens to your feedback, and celebrates your professional milestones. The culture is one of mentorship, reliability, and opportunity—designed to help you grow from a skilled clinician into a more versatile, confident leader in patient care.
