Newark, NY
Contracted
Newark-Wayne Community Hospital - Aya
Mid Level
Take a leading role in Radiology as an MRI Tech and help illuminate the unseen with precision, care, and speed. In this fast-paced specialty, your expertise will translate complex anatomy into clear, actionable images that empower physicians to diagnose accurately and treat patients with confidence. This contract brings you to the thriving corridor of New York and Newark, where you can practice high-caliber MRI across diverse populations, imaging challenges, and clinical indications. Beyond the scanners, you’ll discover a region rich with culture, cuisine, and natural beauty—from the waterfronts of New York City to the parks of northern New Jersey, the Hudson Valley’s scenic trails, and the coastlines of the Atlantic. For those who crave variety, the assignment is designed as a multi-week placement that offers weekly compensation between 2,704 and 2,896 dollars, with pathways to extension and additional locations as you grow your skill set. Start date 01/12/2026 marks the beginning of a journey where your talent meets opportunity, support, and professional advancement.

Location Benefits: Work in two dynamic settings—New York and Newark—each offering distinct advantages. In New York, you’ll engage with a fast-paced, innovative healthcare landscape, access to top-tier imaging support teams, and opportunities to collaborate with subspecialties in neurology, orthopedics, oncology, and vascular imaging. Newark presents a closely-knit hospital network with strong community ties, a gateway to regional centers of research, and a cost-effective, commuter-friendly base that makes daily travels seamless. The broader U.S. travel program also means you can rotate through additional sites across the country, broadening your clinical exposure, strengthening your adaptability, and expanding your professional network. The location’s surroundings provide a rich lifestyle—world-class museums, historic neighborhoods, waterfront promenades, and easy escapes to the Catskills or Jersey Shore when you need downtime. You’ll gain exposure to state-of-the-art scanners, comparative imaging resources, and a culture that values patient-centered care, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Role Specifics and Benefits: You will perform MR imaging across neuro, musculoskeletal, body, and cardio protocols as credentialed, optimize sequences, calibrate coils, and ensure patient comfort and safety. You’ll screen patients, assess contraindications, administer contrast when trained and approved, monitor for adverse reactions, and maintain high image quality through protocol adherence and meticulous positioning. You will collaborate with radiologists and technologists to tailor exam parameters, troubleshoot equipment, and participate in daily QA. You’ll contribute to workflow efficiency by scheduling, documentation, and image transfer. This role offers robust professional growth: access in-demand sequences, advanced imaging techniques, and continuing education opportunities that support credentialing and subspecialty certification. Competitive benefits will accompany your salary: a sign-on bonus to recognize your startup impact, housing assistance to ease relocation, and extension opportunities that let you stay with a site or move to new assignments as your career evolves. You’ll also benefit from comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance from our dedicated traveling team, safety nets, and travel coordination that minimizes disruption to patient care. The assignment promises diversity of cases, opportunities to influence patient outcomes directly, and the chance to build a reputation as a trusted imaging partner across multiple sites.

Company Values: Our company is built on a foundation of empowerment and collaboration. We invest in our radiology professionals with structured career paths, mentorship, skill-building, and a culture that recognizes expertise, resilience, and compassion. Whether you’re expanding your neuro MRI repertoire, refining your body imaging protocols, or pursuing leadership roles within imaging services, you’ll find a supportive environment where your contributions are celebrated, your questions welcomed, and your professional development prioritized.
