Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Philadelphia, PA
Contracted
Pennsylvania Hospital
Mid Level
Seize a transformative opportunity as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where every birth is a moment of expert care, teamwork, and compassion. In this role you’ll support families through one of life’s most meaningful experiences, guiding them with evidence-based practice, clear communication, and a calming presence. Your expertise will help ensure safe labor, accurate fetal assessment, and empowering postpartum care while you grow within a specialty that rewards curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning. The assignment begins on 04/13/2026 and runs for several weeks, with extension opportunities available to advance your obstetric expertise. Beyond the hospital walls, Pennsylvania offers beauty and inspiration—from the historic charm and cultural vitality of Philadelphia to the quiet majesty of the Pocono Mountains, Brandywine Valley’s rolling hills, and Lancaster’s pastoral landscapes that invite exploration after a fulfilling shift.

Working in Philadelphia means access to world-class medical centers, mentorship, and opportunities for continuing education. You’ll experience the advantages of a major urban center—diverse patient populations, collaborative obstetric teams, and robust support systems designed to enhance both patient outcomes and staff development. For those drawn to broader horizons, you may be deployed to locations across the U.S., broadening your clinical perspective, strengthening your professional network, and enriching your resume with a spectrum of labor and delivery practices—from high-volume quads to resource-variable settings. Travel assignments offer exposure to Level II/III NICUs, high-risk obstetrics, and dynamic labor suites, all while you enjoy the cultural richness and natural beauty that each new destination provides. You’ll also benefit from competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to balance clinical excellence with opportunities to discover American cities, landscapes, and local flavors.

As an L&D RN, you’ll manage labor support, fetal surveillance, admission and triage, and coordination of cesarean births in partnership with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams. You’ll provide postpartum care and education, support lactation services, and contribute to care plans that honor family-centered goals. The role offers clear pathways for professional growth—precepting new grads, pursuing advanced certifications in high-risk obstetrics, or stepping into leadership responsibilities as you gain experience. You’ll work closely with physicians, midwives, and nurses to optimize staffing, refine protocols, and ensure adherence to evidence-based guidelines. The position provides a competitive weekly pay range of $2,453-$2,575, with 12 guaranteed hours per week, and the potential for contract extensions to sustain momentum in your development. Housing assistance or a housing stipend is available, and a signing bonus may apply where applicable. Our dedicated support team is available 24/7 to help you navigate shifts, locations, or clinical questions while you travel with the company, ensuring you always have a trusted partner by your side.

Our company is committed to empowering staff, prioritizing career advancement, and fostering a supportive, inclusive work environment. We invest in ongoing education, leadership development, and wellness resources so you can thrive professionally and personally. You’ll find a culture that values your contributions, encourages mentorship, and actively creates opportunities to grow within obstetric care—whether you’re guiding routine labor, supporting high-risk scenarios, or championing patient education and family-centered care. You’ll also encounter resources designed to recognize excellence, reward initiative, and help you reach your career milestones through transparent pathways, tuition assistance options, and opportunities to lead quality improvement projects that influence patient outcomes.

If you’re ready to elevate your nursing career and make a lasting impact on families welcoming new life, apply now. This is your chance to join a team that respects your expertise, offers competitive pay and benefits, and supports your professional development through flexible assignments and extension opportunities.
