Travel Radiology Special Procedures Tech Job

Burlington, VT
Contracted
University of Vermont Medical Center- UVMMC
Mid Level
Step into a transformative Radiology travel role as a Special Procedures Tech, where your expertise in image-guided interventions translates into better outcomes for patients facing complex conditions. This assignment places you in Burlington, Vermont, a city that blends lively culture with natural beauty, where high-tech radiology suites meet the calm of the Lake Champlain shoreline. In this role you’ll contribute to interventional procedures that demand precision, speed, and a compassionate touch—from vascular access and catheter placements to advanced biopsies and drainage procedures. As you collaborate with skilled radiologists, technologists, and nurses, you’ll sharpen your clinical skills, expand your procedural repertoire, and elevate patient-centered care. And if you crave adventure beyond the hospital walls, Vermont’s rolling valleys, scenic byways, and outdoor playgrounds invite you to unwind after shifts, whether you hike in the Green Mountains, paddle along the lake, or savor farm-to-table cuisine in charming towns.

Working in Burlington offers access to a robust medical community, modern imaging equipment, and opportunities to engage with patients and families in meaningful ways. You’ll be part of a healthcare network that values precision, patient safety, and innovation. The location also opens doors to travel assignments across the U.S., allowing you to experience diverse settings—from metropolitan centers to serene rural communities—without sacrificing a stable clinical foundation. Burlington’s walkable downtown, local breweries, seasonal festivals, and nearby natural treasures create a balanced life where professional growth is paired with a high quality of living. If you do travel, our program support system makes it seamless to rotate to different sites, maintain continuity of care, and build a versatile resume that demonstrates adaptability and depth in interventional radiology.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will center on assisting radiologists in a range of special procedures: preparing and handling sterile fields, setting up and operating angiography systems, ensuring patient comfort and monitoring during procedures, and managing contrast administration with vigilance for adverse reactions. You’ll scrub, circulate, and position patients, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in post-procedure care and recovery. The role offers significant professional growth within interventional radiology, with opportunities to learn new techniques, perform complex imaging-guided interventions, and pursue credentialing paths that enhance your scope of practice. We support you with a competitive weekly pay range of $2,610 to $2,722, plus a bonus program designed to reward performance and commitment. Housing assistance can ease relocation, and there are extension opportunities that let you lengthen your time with the team if you want to deepen your experience. You’ll also benefit from comprehensive support, including a dedicated travel liaison and 24/7 assistance, ensuring your assignments run smoothly from start to finish.

Our company is built on a foundation of empowering staff—investing in career advancement, offering mentoring, continuing education, and a supportive work environment where questions are welcomed and progress is celebrated. We believe great care starts with engaged, well-supported clinicians who can focus on what matters most: safe, effective patient care and meaningful professional growth.
