Travel Registered Nurse NICU Job

Los Angeles, CA
Contracted
Adventist Health White Memorial
Mid Level
Step into a pivotal NICU nursing role as a Travel Registered Nurse in Los Angeles, California, where your clinical expertise will guide the most vulnerable newborns toward brighter beginnings. In this high-impact setting, you’ll collaborate with a seasoned neonatology team to deliver evidence-based care, from critical stabilization to developmental support that honors family-centered practice. Your expertise will shine as you monitor respiratory support, administer and adjust complex IV therapies and nutrition, oversee sedation as ordered, and drive discharge planning with parents who rely on you for education and reassurance. This opportunity begins with a start date of 12/29/2025 and is designed as a flexible assignment measured in weeks, giving you the autonomy to align your travel goals with clinical growth while contributing meaningfully to neonatal outcomes. Beyond the bedside, you’ll be part of a community that values curiosity, precision, and resilience, continually elevating your practice in a dynamic pediatric setting.

California’s beauty is an invitation to explore in your downtime, and the role offers inspiring possibilities not only within Los Angeles but across diverse locations in the United States. In Los Angeles you’ll thrive amid a vibrant arts scene, world-class cuisine, and coastal access, while the state’s broader landscapes—golden beaches, majestic mountains, redwood forests, and sunlit vistas—offer endless weekend adventures. The travel opportunity across multiple U.S. locations means you can experience varied hospital cultures, patient demographics, and care paradigms, enriching your clinical repertoire and expanding your professional network. Whether you crave the energy of a bustling urban center or the calm of a hospital nestled near nature, this pathway is designed to satisfy your professional curiosity and personal love of travel.

In this NICU RN role, you’ll own comprehensive responsibilities that advance both patient outcomes and your professional growth. Core duties include continuous monitoring of critically ill neonates, ventilator management, intricate IV therapies and TPN, meticulous clinical assessments, pain and sedation oversight, and coordination with the neonatology team to refine care plans. You’ll educate families on treatments, assist with bonding and developmental care strategies, and participate actively in rounds to influence evidence-based decisions. The position is built for growth: you’ll have access to targeted certifications, specialized training in thermoregulation, neurodevelopmental care, and the use of cutting-edge neonatal equipment, with pathways to leadership such as precepting and mentoring travel teammates. To strengthen your compensation and stability, the package features a competitive weekly pay range of $1,884-$1,886, plus a sign-on bonus, and housing assistance that helps you secure comfortable, convenient living arrangements near your assignment. There are extension opportunities designed so you can seamlessly extend your stay if you find you’ve still got more to learn and contribute. Throughout your journey, you’ll receive 24/7 support from our travel program, ensuring you have immediate access to help with scheduling, logistics, or clinical questions, so you can stay focused on delivering exceptional neonatal care.

Our company values your growth as a cornerstone of our mission. We are dedicated to empowering clinicians by supporting ongoing education, credentialing, and career development while fostering a supportive, inclusive environment where teamwork, respect, and compassionate care are everyday practice.
