Role Specifics and Benefits: As a PCU RN, you’ll manage a defined scope of practice for adult patients requiring closer observation and intermediate care. Your responsibilities will include ongoing assessment and documentation of vitals, telemetry interpretation, IV therapy, wound and drain care, medication administration with an emphasis on safety and compatibility, and timely escalation of changes in condition. You’ll contribute to developing and updating care plans, coordinate with physicians, case managers, and families, and facilitate patient and family education for discharge readiness. You’ll lead with evidence-based practices to prevent complications, promote early mobilization, and support transitional care needs.
