Role responsibilities and growth:
As an LPN in Long-Term Care, you’ll provide direct patient care, monitor health status, administer medications within scope, assist with activities of daily living, help with mobility and nutrition, manage wounds and skin care, and support infection control. You’ll participate in care planning with RNs and the interdisciplinary team, document accurately in electronic health records, and communicate changes to the team and families with clarity and empathy. You’ll support falls prevention, discharge planning, and end-of-life care as appropriate. The role offers ongoing professional development in geriatrics, with mentorship and potential pathways toward certifications and leadership responsibilities, so you can continually expand your clinical capabilities and your impact on residents’ well-being.
