Moses Lake, WA
Contracted
Samaritan Healthcare
Mid Level
Step into the vital, life‑changing field of Labor & Delivery as a Registered Nurse in Moses Lake, Washington, and join a team that stands at the frontier of compassionate obstetric care. In this role you will guide families through one of their most memorable moments—birth—while collaborating with physicians, midwives, and support staff to ensure every journey begins with safety, dignity, and comfort. From triage to recovery, you’ll apply evidence‑based practices, monitor fetal status, manage labor progression, administer pain relief, and educate families on newborn care. Your clinical judgment, calm presence, and teamwork will help families feel secure during intense moments and celebrate every healthy arrival. Washington’s L&D environments blend advanced practice with close‑knit patient advocacy, offering you opportunities to specialize, lead, and grow within a supportive framework. This opportunity is anchored in Moses Lake but provides the flexibility to experience patient care in other locations across the U.S. as your career evolves. Washington’s landscapes invite exploration—lush forests, sunlit deserts, alpine vistas, and vibrant urban centers—so you can savor the beauty of the state between shifts.

Moses Lake presents a welcoming community hospital setting with strong interprofessional collaboration, making it an ideal place to deepen your L&D expertise while delivering patient‑centered care. The location celebrates outdoor living, with options for boating, fishing, hiking, and fresh-air recreation on the lake and nearby trails. It also serves as a gateway to broader experiences across the Pacific Northwest, offering a practical balance of professional growth and quality of life. For those who crave variety, the program supports assignments at multiple sites across the United States, enabling you to broaden clinical exposure, learn new protocols, and connect with diverse maternity teams. You’ll experience the advantages of a supportive network while maintaining the stability of a dedicated schedule and guaranteed hours, with the chance to collaborate with colleagues who share your commitment to safe, family‑centered birth.

In this role, your key responsibilities will center on comprehensive obstetric care: monitoring labor progress, fetal surveillance with appropriate interpretation of cardiotocography, and timely decision‑making alongside the obstetric team. You’ll administer and manage analgesia and anesthesia support as delegated, assist with emergency obstetric events, and oversee postpartum care, newborn stabilization, lactation support, and discharge planning. Educational moments with patients and families will be a regular part of your day, reinforcing safe breastfeeding practices, newborn care, and warning signs for complications. You’ll lead by example in infection control, patient safety, and pain management, while pursuing ongoing professional development within the L&D specialty. The position offers competitive benefits, including a signing bonus where applicable, housing assistance to ease transition, and the potential for contract extensions that reflect your performance and the needs of the facility. You will be part of a program that provides 24/7 support while traveling with the company, ensuring you have reliable resources for clinical questions, orientation, and logistics no matter where your assignment takes you. Contracts are structured in weeks with guaranteed minimum hours—36 per week—providing predictability and a steady rhythm that supports personal life and professional growth. Start date is February 2, 2026, with weekly pay in the range of $2,321 to $2,366, reflecting the value of your expertise and the scope of responsibilities in this specialty. As you advance, you’ll have opportunities to deepen your practice, lead orientation for new graduates, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Our company is built on a foundation of empowering staff to advance their careers within a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative culture. You’ll find mentors who are invested in your success, generous continuing education opportunities, and clear pathways to leadership roles within labor & delivery and related women’s health specialties. We value a positive work environment where questions are welcomed, teamwork is celebrated, and patient outcomes guide every decision. Across locations, you’ll benefit from consistent standards, robust onboarding, and a network of peers who share a commitment to evidence‑based practice, compassionate care, and professional integrity. The organization understands that strong support—clinical, administrative, and personal—fuels retention and excellence, and you’ll feel the difference in daily practice, performance reviews, and long‑term career planning.
