Travel Registered Nurse Hospice Job

Grand Junction, CO
Contracted
Mesa Manor Center
Mid Level
Embark on a meaningful travel nursing journey as a Hospice Registered Nurse in Grand Junction, Colorado, beginning February 26, 2026. This is more than a role—it’s a chance to bring comfort, dignity, and expert symptom management to patients and families during one of life’s most intimate chapters. You’ll influence care plans, guide families through difficult conversations, collaborate with physicians and social workers, and champion personalized comfort that honors each patient’s values. In this setting, your compassion translates into practical relief—pain control, relief from restless symptoms, and nurturing support that families carry long after a bedside visit. The beauty of Colorado surrounds you: dramatic red rock canyons, the stately Colorado National Monument, outdoor adventures in the surrounding mesas and national forests, and vibrant communities offering culture, cuisine, and a pace that rewards both focus and renewal. This is a place where professional purpose and natural wonder align, inviting you to grow as a clinician and a person.

Grand Junction blends a thriving healthcare community with easy access to western Colorado’s natural wonders, making it an ideal base for a hospice practice that values longevity, clarity, and connection. You’ll experience a welcoming, team-oriented environment that emphasizes collaboration among nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, and aides to deliver holistic care. For clinicians hungry for broader horizons, this opportunity also opens doors to assignments across the United States, exposing you to diverse patient populations, care settings, and clinical challenges. Whether you’re supporting patients at home, in community-based settings, or in transitional care environments, you’ll find the resources, mentorship, and scheduling flexibility to sustain excellence while exploring new locales. The region’s quality of life, outdoor recreation, and accessible healthcare network create a compelling balance between professional impact and personal well-being.

As a Hospice RN on this assignment, you’ll own and refine essential responsibilities that define expert palliative care. Your primary duties include comprehensive symptom assessment and management, timely intervention for pain and distress, medication administration and safety, and meticulous documentation that informs care planning. You will conduct thorough psychosocial and spiritual assessments, educate patients and families about disease trajectories, medication use, and home care strategies, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to align goals with patient values. You’ll support families through difficult decision-making, provide bereavement resources, and advocate for patient autonomy and comfort in every care transition. You’ll be encouraged to pursue professional growth within hospice, including advanced symptom management techniques, palliative care certifications, and leadership opportunities as you gain experience. The position offers a robust path to expand your clinical influence, broaden your comfort zone with different care environments, and enhance your ability to guide care that honors dignity at the end of life.

This opportunity delivers a compelling package designed to reward your expertise and commitment. You’ll receive a competitive weekly pay range of $1,623 to $1,739, reflecting the complexity and intimacy of hospice care, with additional incentives such as a sign-on bonus and housing assistance to ease relocation or housing needs. You’ll have the chance to extend assignments based on mutual fit and organizational needs, creating flexibility for ongoing professional engagement and continuity of care for patients you serve. The program is designed with you in mind, offering extensive support systems, including 24/7 assistance from our dedicated team as you travel and work in varied settings. Whether you’re navigating patient care plans, coordinating with family caregivers, or seeking rapid access to clinical resources, you’ll find dependable, around-the-clock support that keeps you confident and capable in any situation.

Our company values empower you to advance your career while maintaining a supportive, collaborative work environment. We are committed to recognizing your expertise and investing in your growth—from referral incentives and continuing education opportunities to leadership tracks and mentorship programs. You’ll join a culture that places patient-centered care, professional development, and compassionate teamwork at the forefront. This is more than a contract—it’s a community of health professionals who uplift one another, share best practices, and celebrate the impact you make on patients, families, and communities.
