In Med Surg, your role centers on comprehensive patient assessment, accurate monitoring of vitals and progress, timely administration of medications and IV therapies, wound and drain care, pain management, and coordinated discharge planning. You’ll partner with physicians, therapists, case managers, and family members to develop and execute individualized care plans that reflect best practices and respect patient goals. You’ll document clearly, advocate for patient safety, and participate in quality improvement initiatives that elevate the standard of care.
