Answer a calling as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where every shift is an opportunity to safeguard dignity, promote comfort, and help residents maintain independence. This multi-week assignment offers a platform to refine clinical skills while making a measurable difference in daily life for seniors and adults with chronic conditions. Beginning December 17, 2025, you’ll join a dedicated care team that values clear communication, compassionate presence, and evidence-based practice. As you walk the hallways of a vibrant care community, you’ll see the impact of steady assessments, timely interventions, and respectful, person-centered care. And if you’re drawn to the allure of the Southwest, you’ll discover Albuquerque’s sunlit days, dynamic culture, and easy access to natural beauty—Sandia Peak, Old Town’s charm, and desert landscapes that invite reflection after a powerful day of care.
Working in Albuquerque blends a rich urban environment with a backdrop of outdoor adventures. You’ll experience a community that values aging well, offers strong family and professional networks, and provides access to continuing education and local resources. For nurses who are open to broader horizons, this role can also offer placements in diverse settings across the United States, expanding your professional repertoire and your exposure to different resident populations, care models, and interdisciplinary teams. Through these opportunities, you’ll gain flexibility, build connections, and strengthen your clinical confidence while you explore a region known for its sun, culture, and cuisine.
On a typical day, you’ll perform essential licensed practical nursing duties under the supervision of a registered nurse: accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments; monitor vital signs and clinical indicators; recognize and report acute changes in condition; perform wound care and skin assessment; assist with activities of daily living and rehabilitation exercises; document care plans, dosages, and responses; manage hydration and nutrition notes; participate in discharge planning and family communications; maintain infection prevention standards and patient safety; support the care team in coordinating schedules, transport, and documentation. The role offers strong opportunities for professional growth within the long-term care specialty, including skill refinement in geriatric syndromes, chronic disease management, pain control, palliative approaches, and care coordination with primary providers. You’ll have access to a competitive compensation package that recognizes your expertise, including a weekly pay range of $1,395 to $1,523 and guaranteed 36 hours of work each week. In addition, you may qualify for a sign-on or performance bonus, housing assistance to ease relocation decisions, and the potential for contract extensions that align with your goals. The company provides robust support, including 24/7 assistance while you travel with the organization, so you never navigate a shift alone, no matter where you’re placed. From onboarding through ongoing orientation, you’ll discover a culture that prioritizes practical guidance, mentorship, and rapid problem-solving when you need it most.
Our values center on empowering staff, fostering advancement, and maintaining a respectful, supportive environment. The organization believes in your expertise and your voice, offering opportunities to expand your scope, pursue specialty certifications, and take on leadership responsibilities as you grow.
